In view of the present situation, the distribution power control of the production process of Acheson graphitic furnace still adopts the manual regulation mode with low automation level. We design an automatic control system of the distribution power of graphitic furnace. In this system, the industrial control computer is used as the control host. The INSPEC configuration software is used as the development platform, and the multifunctional interface card is used to collect the analog and switching signals of the graphitization furnace control system. The system can also automatically complete the actual distribution process of graphitization furnace according to the setting distribution power curve. The control system can automatically complete the input of all process parameters. The system can also realize the real-time collection, processing, storage, extraction, display, report generation, fault self-detection, alarm of parameters and so on. The operation effect of the system in the actual graphitization production line shows that the system has the advantages of convenient operation, reliable performance, friendly interface, can meet the technological requirements of the enterprise, can effectively reduce the power consumption, improve the quality of graphite products, and has remarkable engineering application value.
In order to evaluate the product quality of a continuous graphitization furnace, the performance parameters of raw petroleum coke, calcined petroleum coke and graphitized coke were measured. The results show that the volatilization analysis of raw petroleum coke and calcined petroleum coke is basically the same. When the temperature is in the range of 400~700℃, the exhalation rate of volatilization is large. After 900℃, the precipitation of volatile matter is basically completed. The mass fraction of volatile component, ash content fraction, carbon mass fraction and true density of graphitized coke are respectively 0.09%, 0.1%, 99.63% and 2.19 g/cm³, which meets the quality requirements of high purity graphitization coke. The production technology of furnace is worth promoted.
We also explored and studied the law of safe operation of graphitization calciner. Based on the production technology and calcination principle of anthracite graphitization calciner, aiming at the production problems such as coking, upper electrode shedding, lower electrode toppling, electrical system failure, improper adjustment of negative pressure of furnace cover and flue, and not tight sealing of furnace cover, the effective methods and countermeasures to solve these problems are explored and analyzed, which is of great significance to realize the safe operation of graphitization calciner.
