Today we will introduce properties and application of fiber activated carbon felt. With the development of industrial technology, governments and ecologists pay more and more attention to environmental protection. By using three kinds of raw materials, activated carbon, adhesive and non-woven fabric, a composite high efficiency adsorption and filtration material, activated carbon felt cloth, can be produced by dipping process.

Among many nonwovens, fiber activated carbon felt (also known as antivirus filter material) is a new product with wide application range, large dosage, good air permeability and excellent adsorption performance. Activated carbon felt has good adsorption properties for trace harmful substances in water and can be used for drinking water purifier.

We also observed the effect of gel method on formaldehyde removal by activated carbon felt through a series of process parameters. It is found that the number of dip coating is the most important. Heat treatment temperature has second influence on formaldehyde removal. While the influence of dip time and heating rate is the least. The results show that the purification effect is the best when the treatment temperature is 400 ℃~450 ℃ and the heating rate is 3 ℃/min for 10 min, and the adsorption conversion amount can reach 96.33 μg/g.
