Refractory materials. In smelting industry, graphite crucible is made of graphite, which is used as protective agent of ingot and magnesia-carbon brick lined with smelting furnace.

Conductive material. In the electrical industry, graphite is widely used as electrode, brush, rod, carbon tube and TV picture tube coating.

Wear-resistant materials and lubricants. In many mechanical equipment, graphite is used as wear-resistant and lubricating materials, can slide at the speed of 100m/s in the temperature range of-200 ℃, without or less using lubricating oil.

Sealing material. Flexible graphite was used as piston ring washers and sealing rings in centrifugal pumps, turbines, steam turbines and equipment for transporting corrosive media.

Corrosion resistant materials. Graphite is resistant to corrosion of all kinds of corrosive gases and liquids, so graphite is widely used as utensils, pipes and equipment in petroleum, chemical, hydrometallurgy and other departments.

Heat-insulating, high-temperature-resistant, and radiation-proof material. Graphite can be used as nuclear reactor neutron reducer, rocket nozzle, missile nose cone, aerospace equipment parts, thermal insulation materials, radiation protection materials and so on.
