Operation Skills of Graphite Rotor

Release time: 2019-11-01

1.Preheat the graphite rotor before using. The graphite rotor should be preheated for 5 min~10 min at about 100mm above the liquid level before soaking in aluminum solution. This method can avoid the influence of rapid cooling on the material. The graphite rotor must be filled with gas before dipping into the liquid aluminum. We can stop supply the gas supply only after the graphite rotor is taken out of the liquid level, so as to prevent the air hole of the graphite rotor nozzle from being blocked.

2.Isolated air. Nitrogen or argon is injected into the purification box to ensure positive pressure in the box. The external air is isolated to prevent oxidation of the graphite rotor.

3.Reasonable depth of graphite rotor immersed in aluminum melt. We should make the strengthening sleeve reveal about 80mm of aluminum liquid level and immerse the strengthening sleeve in the 60mm below the liquid level. So that the oxidation resistance of the rotor can be effectively enhanced, and the time for resisting erosion and abrasion can be prolonged.

4.Stable transmission system. Graphite rotor and transmission system are connected by connecting rod (tube). Under the long-term high temperature, the connecting rod will be deformed or loose. These will affect the stability of the rotor. Graphite rotors can also be easily broken or bumped.

5.The argon or nitrogen should be pure. For example, due to the leakage of pipeline, joint and other parts, the argon or nitrogen gas through the aluminum melt is impure, which will cause the upper part of the rotor to oxidize seriously, and even several rotor vents in the lower part will be oxidized. So that the service life of the graphite rotor is greatly shortened.
