1、High Speed: The discharge speed of graphite is 2 times faster than that of copper. Graphite material is not easy to deform and has obvious advantages in the processing of thin bar electrode. But copper electrodes are easy to deform.

2、The weight is light: the density of graphite is only 1/5 of copper. When large electrodes are needed for discharge machining, graphite electrodes can effectively reduce the weight burden of machine tool (EDM).

3、No Burrs：The copper electrode needs to be removed by hand after processing. But there is no burr after graphite processing, which not only saves a lot of cost and manpower, but also makes it more easier to realize the automatic production.

4、Low Cost: In recent years, the price of copper materials has been rising. Nowadays, the price of  isostatic graphite is lower than that of copper, and the price is relatively stable, and the price fluctuation is relatively small in the short term.
