Purpose and Function of Graphitization of Graphite Products

4.Improving the wear resistance of graphite materials. The carbon of the random layer structure has the lubricity after transforming into graphite, and its wear resistance is improved significantly.

 

5.Reducing the hardness of graphite materials, so that graphite materials are easy to be used for precision machining. But graphitization also has some side effects. For example, the mechanical strength of the graphite material decreases, and the porosity increases.
