The production process of isostatic graphite is different from that of graphite electrode.

Isostatic graphite requires structurally isotropic raw materials. Isostatic graphite requires to grind the raw material into a finer powder. Isostatic graphite needs to apply cold isostatic pressing technology. Baking cycle of the isostatic graphite is very long.

To achieve the target density, isostatic graphite requires multiple impregnation-baking cycles. The period of graphitization is also much longer than that of ordinary graphite.
