The use and properties of moulded graphite determine whether the production process is cold pressed or hot pressed. We also decide whether to press on one side or on both sides according to the blank specification, press tonnage and unit pressing pressure of molded graphite.

1、Single side pressed graphite:  We generally adopt single side pressed production for compression parts of rectangular and circular shapes with a ratio of height H to diameter D (H/D) not greater than 1. The ratio of height H to wall thickness δ (H/δ) shall be less than 3 for hollow cylindrical compressions.

2、Double-sided pressed graphite: When the H/D is greater than 1 or the H/δ is greater than 3, double-sided pressing is used. The advantage of double-sided pressing is that it can obtain the pressure parts with relatively uniform density.
