The impregnation effect of graphite will be affected by the physical and chemical properties of the impregnation agent.
1、The higher the density of graphite impregnating agent, the higher the char residue rate, the better the impregnation effect.
2、The viscosity of graphite impregnating agent should be appropriate. The smaller the viscosity, the better the fluidity, the easier it is to penetrate into the small pores of graphite. However, if the viscosity of the impregnating agent is too small, the coke yield is bound to decrease.
3、The greater the surface tension of graphite impregnating agent, the better. The larger the surface tension, the smaller the wetting contact angle on the surface of graphite products, the greater the capillary osmotic pressure, the better the wetting of graphite products and the better the impregnation effect.
4、The smaller the suspended matter in the graphite impregnating agent and the more spherical, the better. The penetration of spherical fine particles is strong, so the impregnation effect of graphite products is better.
