Selection of Graphite Materials for Semiconductor Industry

The higher the purity of graphite, the better, especially graphite parts in direct contact with semiconductor materials.

 

Such as crucible, graphite mould for sintering and so on, the impurity content will pollute the semiconductor material. Therefore, we should not only strictly control the purity of graphite raw materials, but also minimize the ash content of graphite mould by high temperature graphitization.

 

The semiconductor industry requires fine particle size of graphite materials. The fine-grained graphite is not only easy to achieve machining accuracy, but also can maintain high strength and low loss at high temperature. Because graphite components used in the semiconductor industry (including heaters and sintering molds) need to withstand repeated heating and cooling processes, in order to improve the service life of graphite parts, we require graphite materials to have good dimensional stability and thermal-shock resistance at high temperatures.
