What are the Changes in Graphite Structure after Heating?

Graphite has good electrical conductivity, so graphite can be heated by induction. Graphite can also be applied to high frequency machines. High frequency machine is also called high frequency induction heating machine. However, high frequency machines are generally used for heating metal materials.

 

The resistivity of graphite becomes smaller after heating. The internal structure arrangement of graphite will produce corresponding slight changes after heating, but this change is limited, so it is basically negligible.

 

When graphite is heated to 800~1000℃, the following two phenomena occur. 1Graphite does not change in absolute vacuum. 2If it is aerobic, graphite produces carbon dioxide and is slowly oxidized. The oxidation rate is related to the mass of graphite, and the change of graphite size is distinguished according to the mass.
