Graphite molds were poorly organized before heat treatment.

The final globular tissue of the graphite die is uneven, imperfect globularity, and the organization has mesh, ribbon and chain carbide, which will make the graphite mold easy to produce crack after quenching, resulting in the scrap of the graphite die.

Causes：

Severe carbon chemical segregation exists in the original tissue of the steel material in the graphite molds.

The forging process is not good, such as excessive forging heating temperature, small deformation, slow cooling speed, etc.
