LIC(Liquid impregnation and carbonization) process is the initial preparation process for the CFC.

In the early stages of the discovery of the CFC, the LIC process was the main densification process of the CFC.

The LIC process of CFC mainly includes two processes: impregnation and carbonization. Impregnation means infiltrating the liquid organic agent (precursor) into the pores of the sample at a certain temperature and pressure. Carbonization refers to the conversion of organic matter into carbon by heat treatment in an inert gas environment.
