There are many types of preforms used for manufacturing CFC.

According to the type of carbon fiber preform of CFC, it can be divided into noncontinuous fiber reinforced preform, continuous fiber reinforced preform, and both.

The continuous fiber reinforced preform of CFC includes uni-directional continuous fiber enhancement (1D), bi-directional continuous fiber fabric lamination (2D), 3D weaving and multi-directional weaving (4-11D). Different types of preforms have different volume content of carbon fiber, different fiber orientation, wide range of pore structure and pore distribution, thus the CFC preform is also fully designable.
