The 2D carbon fiber preform of the CFC includes carbon fiber felt with laminated structures and carbon cloth with laminated structure.

The types of carbon cloth commonly used by the CFC can be divided into three types, namely plain weave, twill weave, and satin weave carbon cloth. The interlaminar shear strength of the CFC preform is low due to the lack of enhanced carbon fiber in the laminated direction.

2D carbon felt attracts a large number of carbon fiber in the laminated direction of continuous fiber (carbon cloth or wrhon fiber prepreg), effectively enhancing the interlaminar shear strength of CFC, and has been widely used in the actual production.
