The ICVI Process of the CFC

Release time: 2022-04-02

Isothermal CVI process (ICVI) is the most traditional and the most widely used process in the CFC industry. The process was applied in the 1960s to densify the pores in graphite and to reduce the gas permeability.

This process was subsequently used to manufacture CFC. It is still the main preparation process for producing CFC today.

Traditional ICVI process can control gas diffusion, and in order to obtain CFC with uniform density, low temperature process is often adopted.
