For the pure CFC, the lower the open porosity of the sample, the higher the apparent density should be.

However, for the coiled CNT-CFC, the apparent density and open porosity of the sample decreases with the increasing CNT mass fraction.

This indicates that the closed pore structure in CFC samples increases with increasing CNT mass fraction.
