A brief description of the terms for the pyrolytic carbon in the CFC is presented.

The researchers studied the structure of pyrolytic carbon of CFC by Transmission Electron Microscopy and Selected Area Electron Diffraction.

The researchers proposed OA(orientation age.) as a parameter to characterize the microstructure of the pyrolytic carbon of CFC. The new term has been adopted and used to name the structure of the pyrolytic carbon, and the correspondence between the orientation angle and the extinction angle is established.
