Thermal Expansion Coefficient of the 2D CFC

The thermal expansion coefficient in the Z direction in 2D CFC is significantly greater than that in the XY direction.

 

According to the analysis of the prefabricated structure of CFC, the content of the carbon fiber of Z direction is small and that of the carbon matrix is relatively large, so the thermal expansion of Z direction is dominated by the thermal expansion of the carbon matrix.

 

The thermal expansion coefficient of the matrix is higher than that of the carbon fiber, so the thermal expansion performance of the 2D CFC mainly depends on the thermal expansion performance of the carbon matrix.
