Because the temperature of the heat treatment can affect the graphitization of the matrix carbon and the carbon fiber, the heat treatment can also affect the thermal properties of the CFC.
At 1000~2000℃, the thermal conductivity of the low-density (0.18g/cc) CFC increases as the temperature increases, and for the higher-density (1.25g/cc) CFC, it decreases.
Therefore, we believe that the thermal expansion coefficient of the CFC increases with the temperature when the density is in the range of 0.18~1.25g/cc.
