Through the SEM observation, we can see that the friction surface of the CFC manufactured by the reactive melt infiltration(RMI) is rough and does not form a complete friction film.

The CFC manufactured by the two other techniques forms a relatively complete and compact friction film, and has relatively excellent friction characteristics.

It shows that the different manufacture processes have different effects on the performance of CFC.
