For the ablation rates of two different CFC with fine-woven felt and integral felt with uni-directional cloth as enhancers, we tested them separately using experimental methods of arc point ablation.

Regarding the CFC of the fine needling felt structure, we find that the change in the surface roughness of the material after ablation is accelerated due to the presence of z-oriented fiber bundles.Its ablation rate is slightly higher than that of the CFC with integral felt with uni-directional cloth.

The layer of uni-directional cloth in CFC with integral felt structure is perpendicular to the ablation flow. It gives the CFC a good ablation resistance.
