Antioxidant Properties of Pitch-based CFC

The following measures can be taken to reduce the porosity of the CFC.

 

The surface of pitch-based carbon fibers is modified by γ-ray irradiation in vinyltriethoxysilane. The irradiation increases the oxygen-containing functional groups on the surface of carbon fibers, thereby increasing the surface energy of pitch-based carbon fibers, thereby reducing the hygroscopicity of CFC.

 

In addition, the addition of some substances to the carbon fiber preform can also improve the antioxidant properties of the CFC.
