The chopped carbon fiber after air oxidation treatment, high temperature heat treatment, and high temperature heat treatment and air oxidation combined treatment is treated as a preform to manufacture the pitch-based CFC.

After research, we find that the compressive strength of CFC increases significantly with the improvement of the surface treatment of chopped carbon fiber.

The compressive strength of CFC manufactured from chopped carbon fibers modified by the combined treatment method is about 138.5% higher than that of CFC reinforced by untreated chopped carbon fiber.
