The preferred oxidation region of CFC is the high-energy and active region or pore of the interface of carbon fiber/carbon matrix, followed by the axial surface of fiber, the end of fiber and the core of fiber.

For the pyrolysis carbon matrix with different structure, the order of oxidation from easy to difficult is pyrolysis carbon in rough layer, pyrolysis carbon in smooth layer and isotropic pyrolysis carbon, but their oxidation depth at the interface of CFC increases in turn.
