Three Stages of CFC Oxidation Process

With the further increase of temperature (>800℃), the oxidation reaction becomes more intense, and the reaction gas on the surface of CFC is consumed.

 

The carbon material in the pores of CFC cannot be oxidized, and the speed of oxidation is controlled by the diffusion rate of oxygen in the concentration boundary layer near the material surface.

 

The oxidation process of CFC has three stages. The oxidation activation energies of high, middle and low temperature are 18~43.9kJ/mol, 112~125.5kJ/mol and 178.2~217.2kJ/mol, respectively.
