When the temperature is lower than 600℃, the oxidation rate of carbon is much lower than the diffusion rate of gas in the pores of CFC.

The CFC will undergo a uniform oxidation reaction. The oxidation process is controlled by the chemical reaction between oxygen and carbon active source on the surface of CFC.

With the increase of temperature (600~800℃), the speed of oxidation reaction is accelerated, and more reaction gas is consumed near the pore inlet, thus reducing the oxidation inside the CFC. The oxidation process is gradually changed from being controlled by chemical reactions to being controlled by the migration rate of oxygen elements in carbon materials.
