Mechanical denudation of CFC refers to the granular exfoliation caused by the different ablative rates of matrix and fiber under the action of airflow pressure and shear force, or the particle exfoliation caused by thermal stress damage.

If the flow contains high-speed solid and liquid particles, these particles will aggravate the surface defects or peeling of the CFC when they impact the surface of the CFC.
