The pyrolytic carbon used in CFC has the highest purity, higher binding strength with fiber, fine internal structure and the best ablative resistance.

The purity of pitch-based carbon fiber used in CFC is the second, and the purity of resin carbon is the worst.

The ablative properties of matrix carbon used in CFC are also related to the ablation angle. If the graphite layer of the matrix is perpendicular to the airflow, the ablative resistance is excellent.
