Chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and embedding methods are commonly used to prepare SIC coatings for CFC.

SiC coatings have been prepared on the surface of CFC hollow cylinders by CVD method.

The coating can effectively protect the CFC matrix for at least 10 hours in a gas turbine combustion chamber with a wall temperature of 1500℃ at one end.
