A SiC-HfC multilayer composite coating with an alternating layered structure was fabricated on CFC substrates via the CVD method.

The coated CFC samples were subjected to arc ablation testing under a heat flux of 389 W/cm² for 300 seconds.

Post-test analysis revealed that both the mass and dimensions of the CFC specimens exhibited no significant changes, demonstrating the coating's exceptional resistance to high-temperature ablation and structural stability under extreme thermal conditions.
