CVD is a suitable method to produce a dense coating system, which can effectively enhance the protective properties of CFC.

However, the CVD-derived coating has a poor bonding strength with the CFC substrate, limiting its application in high-velocity particle-erosive environments.

To address this, it is recommended to introduce an interlayer between the coating and substrate in CFC systems, thereby improving their adhesion and enhancing CFC's stability under harsh conditions.
