The SiC/ZrB₂-SiC/SiC composite coating for CFC can be manufactured by a combination of plasma spraying and CVD hybrid processes.

The CFC coating exhibits excellent oxidation resistance and ablation resistance.

After 60 seconds of oxyacetylene ablation, the mass ablation rate and linear ablation rate of the coating for CFC are 0.05 mg/s and 0.56 µm/s, respectively.
