It was found that Sm(NO₃)₃ can be used to increase the emissivity of the ZrB₂-SiC coating used for CFC.

However, during the oxidation process, Sm(NO₃)₃ intensifies the volatilization of B₂O₃ glass on the surface of the ZrB₂-SiC coating used for CFC.
