ZrB₂-SiC coating can be applied to CFC surfaces via plasma spraying.

Antioxidation tests were carried out on CFC with the above ZrB₂-SiC coating in an environment of 2100K.

Results showed that CFC coatings with 25% SiC have self-healing properties.
