The CFC matrix and materials such as TaSi2 and MoSi2 all have an impact on the high-temperature oxidation behavior of Zr and Hf carbides.

ZrC+TaSi₂ for CFC is more suitable below 2000℃, while HfC+Mo-Si₂ exhibits better oxidation resistance above 2200℃.

ZrC+MoSi₂ for CFC has oxidation resistance around 2000℃.
